The Islamization of America
April 29 was Muslim Capitol Day for the state of Texas. Yes, you read that correctly.
On this one-day event, there is a rally outside the Capitol building, lunch, meetings with elected officials, workshops, a Muslim prayer session and training sessions on how to better advocate for Muslims.
In Texas.
Republican congressional candidate Valentina Gomez sneaked onto the main stage of this event wearing a hijab. She promptly removed it, grabbed the microphone, and launched into a short but spirited railing against the growing Muslim influence in America, saying she “will never let sharia law take over Texas.” She was quickly removed from the stage.
The footage she posted on X has received nearly 14 million views; tens of thousands of shares, comments and saves; and over 200,000 likes. Obviously her discontented opinion is shared by many. The message is clear: A significant number of Americans do not approve of the Islamization of America.
But how did we even get to this point?
Societal Shift
After 9/11, many Americans had, at best, a general distrust of Muslims. Islamic terrorists had just inflicted the worst-ever attack on American soil. People were on fire to bring the fight to the terrorists. President George W. Bush drove a hard wedge between the U.S. and Islam, which was seen as a clear and present danger by the government and the general public.
This sentiment stuck around for years. It wasn’t just that Islam had no place in Texas: It had no place in the United States of America.
In the 1960s, there were fewer than 20 mosques in America. By 1970, there were around 100. That number grew as more Muslim immigrants poured in. By 2001, it reached over 1,200. That number stagnated for a time after the 2001 terrorist attack.
However, the 2010s saw a rapid expansion. Now there are more than 2,700 mosques in the U.S. Texas is in the top three states with the most mosques, sitting at 338. Three to four million Muslims across the nation regularly attend at these mosques.
What caused this explosion of Islamic influence after years of distrust? Much of the credit goes to one man and one speech: Barack Obama and his historic 2009 speech in Cairo, Egypt.
In that speech, Obama defended Iran’s nuclear pursuits and refused to acknowledge Islamic terrorism. It was an apologist, appeasing, pacifist approach—and Americans listened intently. The speech was lauded with praise and calls of peace. His dangerous, tolerant mindset rubbed off on the American people. In the years since, Islam became the fastest-growing religion in the U.S.
At the time of the speech, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote that it highlighted the broken will of the U.S. and that its effects would shake America. Radical Muslim immigrants began invading America as a direct result of that speech. Radical Islamic extremism and violent rhetoric were once largely confined to the Middle East. Now, “Death to America” is a popular chant in cities like Dearborn, Michigan.
Hostile Takeover
Dearborn has the largest Muslim population of any U.S. city: 54 percent of its citizens claim Arab heritage or religious affiliation.
The city allows its mosques to broadcast prayer calls over loudspeakers five times a day. It’s home to the largest mosque in North America. After Oct. 7, 2023—Israel’s very own 9/11—Dearborn saw a slew of rallies in support of Hamas. Protesters were recorded chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”
One Wall Street Journal opinion piece called the city “America’s jihad capital.” Many Americans rallied to the city’s defense, calling the article “bigoted” and nothing more than “hate.”
When there should have been alarm over extremist, anti-Israel, anti-American attitudes and the total Islamization of an entire American city, there were instead tears and cries of “Islamophobia.”
Dearborn isn’t the only city of its kind, nor the only one in Michigan. Other cities have high Muslim population concentrations and mosque counts in states such as Texas, New Jersey and New York.
It is true that most Muslims are not violent terrorists. But that does not mean there is no danger in Islam. It does not change the reality that many Muslims, even peaceful ones, want to convert the world to Islam. It doesn’t change the fact that the cultural tolerance America has popularized has become submission. The people of the United States, in striving to accept all Muslim people, have developed a dangerous naiveté about Islam.
Ignorance and Its Consequence
The ignorance isn’t recent.
In November 2009, the Middle East Forum published a piece highlighting the shocking ignorance of Islam’s true nature shown throughout Obama’s Cairo speech. The most blatant example is his use of Sura 9:119, which he quoted to say, “Be conscious of God and speak always the truth.” The real translation of that verse reads, “Fear Allah and be with the truthful.”
That is to say, Muslims stand with fellow “truthful” Muslims against the “false” infidels. This verse was quoted by the leader of the country Islam considers to be a nation of infidels. His audience knew what this verse actually said, and he was met with enthusiastic applause. The context of the verse is even more shocking; just above it, verse 111 promises paradise to believers who kill and die for Islam.
The extremist Islamic world undoubtedly loved to hear this from the leader of America. His speech represents the naiveté that has brought us to where we are today: daily prayer calls in Michigan, unwavering support for Hamas on American college campuses, and Muslim Capitol Days in Texas. It has also led to both the fbi and mainstream media refusing to call Shamsud-Din Jabbar a terrorist after his January 1 New Orleans terrorist attack.
America refuses to accept the ugly truth. Paralyzed by the fear of being called racist, a nation has allowed in millions of immigrants from a religion that, by its own principles, cannot coexist with others in the long term. Since 9/11, over 500 people—the majority of them Muslim—have been charged with plotting jihadist terrorist acts or related crimes. Over a fifth of those plots were successful.
In the book of Deuteronomy, God warns the Israelite peoples that if they stop following His laws, they suffer curses. Among those curses is this: “The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail” (Deuteronomy 28:43-44).
The U.S. has allowed in countless strangers, many with malicious intent, who are bringing the nation down.
Ezekiel 5 prophesies a sobering fate to come upon modern Israel. Represented by three sections of the Prophet Ezekiel’s beard, the first third, in verse 2, burns “with fire … in the midst of the city.” This is a plague of fire and violence killing one third of modern Israel—including America.
Verse 12 also describes this group as dying with the “pestilence”; the Hebrew word means destruction and death, and “to lay snares, to plot against, to destroy.” Mr. Flurry writes in Ezekiel—The End-Time Prophet:
It is a stark prophecy of our future! Terrorist attacks, rioting and burning are the main thrust of the pestilence described in Ezekiel 5. And this rioting will spread to other Israelite nations! God will get our attention one way or another.
The terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, killed nearly 3,000 people. This calamity will kill hundreds of millions. And just as after 9/11, Muslims will dance in the streets over America’s sudden and violent downfall. It is a sharp warning from God for the nations of modern Israel to repent—or this is the tragic future that awaits.
